Walk With Giants

Outside of Revelstoke lies The Giant Cedars Boardwalk, an old growth forest populated by 500-year old mammoth-size cedar trees.

A boardwalk at the edge of an unassuming parking lot at Giant Cedars Boardwalk shepherds you into the trees where the glorious canopy of this hidden forest of slumbering giants envelops you in their ancient, mystical world.

The .5km boardwalk stroll is something to take in slowly while you breathe in the natural oils emitted by the trees - according to ancient aboriginal culture (Japanese too), ancient trees like these have tremendous healing powers.

NOTE: TEMPORARILY CLOSED DUE TO FALLEN TREES.

Mount Revelstoke National Park is 5-minutes away

The Meadows-in-the-Sky Parkway is a paved mountain road leading through Mount Revelstoke National Park. The parkway begins in the rainforests of the park's southwest corner, winds upward through the sub-alpine forests and ends in the rolling sub-alpine wildflower meadows where hikers are met with awe-inspiring vistas of the surrounding peaks. NOTE: Vehicles towing RVs over 25ft cannot drive the parkway. Park pass is required.

Local Hikes - Hidden Falls and Stunning Sub-Alpine  Meadows

The hike to Eva Lake is just one of Revelstoke's iconic experiences. The hike is an invigorating, but mostly moderate, well-groomed trail. In the Spring, the hike's payoff is the brilliant display of vibrant colours strewn through the alpine meadow setting of Eva Lake. The surrounding majestic peaks watch over the lake and their majestic reflections are emblazoned on its calm, clear waters.

TIP: TEMPERATURES DROP. TAKE AN EXTRA LAYER, A SNACK AND WATER TOO.

Local Trails For Quadding

Revelstoke is well known for the spectacular mixed-use mountain trails that wind, seemingly endlessly, through the vast expanse of alpine forests that inhabit this incredibly diverse area.  Quadders have been enjoying the many seasonal trails for decades.
